Ms. Oriental is about a young Asian-American actress who commits suicide, and finds herself in purgatory surrounded by remarkable women from Asian history. These women—representing China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, India, and the Philippines—guide our protagonist through her identity crisis with poetic anecdotes from their lives, and a healthy dose of dark humor.

In September 2016, we presented a showcase of Ms. Oriental at the Glicker-Milstein Theatre, and are now working to bring the production to a wider audience base. As a producer, I’m fostering communications amongst the creative team, and connecting with community/cultural organizations as potential partners. Since January, I’ve also assisted in writing grant applications, coordinated our marketing campaign, and promoted our IndieGoGo fundraiser. I’m also a new play/production dramaturg on the project.
